Past Doctor & Patient Etiquette

One more question I have- I had a previous Dr. whom was the most supportive altough I moved out of the state, when I called to have my records sent to me he had moved out of state too. The facilty that he was affiliated with had told me he took the records with him. Which I don't know why but I have found his name and address on the AMA http://www page. I would like to know if it would be appropriate to write to him and inquire about my records, knowing this may be his home address? My attention is not to interfere with his privacy but if he isn't a practicing Doctore any longer and he still has my records are they something that I may just have to forget about?

If anyone has heard of him his name is John S. Missanelli, or even if he has a practice open now.

Thanks again!
