Involuntary orgasmFrom: Kathryn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 23 Apr 1997 16:44:47 -0500 (CDT)
I am 56 years of age, maried for 41 years and in good health. I have been going through menopause and have a problem I that none of the three ob/gyns I have gone to can seem to give me any help with. Every month, around the first or last (seems to coincide with when I used to have my period) I go through a period of about a week where I have many (as many as 9) involuntary orgasms a day. I have not been able to controll this and it is really bothering me. All my tests are fine and physically I am in good health. My sex life with my husband is active and very satisfactory. This is not a Joke. It is really driving me up a wall. I am concerned there is something wrong with me. The Doctors here in this small town seem to be amused about it and say they have never heard of it. In fact one even quipped "Boy, I wish I could do that". I really would like to know if any one has any knowledge of this or am I one of a kind in the world? By the way, my husband is kind of infatuated with this and not overly concerned but he isn't in my body and having to live with it! Any help from any one will be sincerly appreciated.
