Using progestrone vs the patch or ????From: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 07 Apr 1997 13:28:28 -0500
I am 61 years old and had a complete hysterectomy when I was 39 years of age I did not take any estrogen replacement until about 10 years ago. I have found that I retain weight and nothing I do seems to allow me to loose more than 10 pounds. The weight is right around my middle. From my bust down to my stomach area. I am very sluggish. I guess you could say I would rather sit than do. I do work every day and that probably does keep me going. I have little or no sexual desires. I have had two breast lumps .. one removed and one went away of it's own accord. Breast cancer scares me. The lump that was removed was originally diagnosed as cancer but when they did the biopsy it was found to be benign. There is no history of cancer but my mother did have breast lumps. Two or three she had removed. I take the estrogene patch lowest dosage but do not know if I should continue with the patch and take the progestrone cream at the same time or, do I stop the patch and use the cream only. I would appreciate an answer if possible. My e-mail address is barhollis@juno.com or bahrch@aol.com. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks so much.
