should I see a doctor for thisFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 1 Apr 1997 18:06:15 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I am somewhat in a quandery as to what to do. I'm 27 years old, have two children, and have always had irregular periods. I am thinking about trying to concieve my next child and am upset by some physical things going on with my body. I have hypothyriodism and take .05mg of Levoxyl daily for it. When I was trying to concieve my last child the doctor told me I had polycyistic ovaries. Also I still have small amounts of breastmilk left,a year and a half after I quit breastfeeding. I also have a rash that seems to be related to my hormons that is currently going crazy. I use an IUD for birth control and my periods are very heavy and tend to last up to two weeks. At the current time I am on my 54th day of my cycle and have no symptoms of starting my period any time soon. The last two cycles before this where 40 days and 32 days long. I also have noticed that I am dry in my vagina and sexual intercourse makes the walls of my vagina sore. While sex itself isn't uncomfortable in itself I seem to be less sensitve then I used to be. I also seem to be experiencing some weight flucuations of 5 to 10 pounds. I'm due for my yearly exam and want to know what exactly what might be going on before I go. I like my doctor but I'm not sure he is taking care of a possible propblem. Perhapse I have been leaving out something improtant when I talk to him. I want to be sure everything is ok before I get pregnate again. I would appreciate any advice.
-- Thank you, Sincerly Amy Romango
