Those links you provided proved to be very informative, have enabled me to deal more effectively with my doctor, and have diminished my feeling of "alone-and-helpless"-ness. I found a pharmacy (just down the street!) that is willing to work with me and my doctor. When I showed my doctor the article "Vulvodynia and Vulvar Vestibulitis Syndrome FAQ" that I found on this site http://prairie.lakes.com/~roseleaf/fibro/sex-faq.html he told me that he had studied under some of the people whose work had contributed to the article, that they were among his mentors. He said that, yes, vulvodynia was another name for my diagnosis, that he didn't realize that I cared to be so specific. (I'm an LPN.) Those links also provided a good jumping-off place for other explorations! Thank you again for your welcome to the net, for your help and for your work. I am grateful to find OBGYN.net.
