I am a 25 years old female,married for three years. My periods started to be irregular three years ago.After marriage I took ocp for 5 months.When I came out of the pill i didn't have my periods for ten months. I went to a doctor and he did some blood tests and everything was in the normal range. Meanwhile my facial hairs and hairs on my body became thicker and I am so embarrassed to go out and meet people. The gyn. gave me clomid treatment for three months and ovulation occured only with 150mg of clomid. Icame to know that my testesterone levels are thrice the normal level.Now I have shifted my attention from having a baby to reduce the testesterone levels and getting regular periods. Is there a treatment for the same?.I want to regularise my periods before I conceive,since My husband and I have no other causes of infertility.Is it possible?Should i consult a gyneacologist or reproductive endocrinology specialist?Please reply.Thanks in advance for your time.
