My husband and I are about to embark on the adventure of pro-creation and in preparation I've been reading alot. I recently found several web sites about the Shettle's method of preconception sex selection. In case your not familar with it, here's a quick summary: the theory is based on the idea that "Y" sperm swim quicker but don't last very long and "X" sperm are slower but more hardy. Therefore depending on the timing of intercourse to ovulation and sexual position (some positions bring the sperm closer to their target) you can increase your odds of having a particular sex. It sounds like this method had some scientific basis; does it? Does it work?
