I'm sorry you went through all of that, but glad to hear that you seem fine.

I agree. Fibroids are routinley benign. The risk of cancer in a rapidly growing fibroid is 0.27% (very tiny risk - basically 1 in 400)

In years gone by, oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries) was discussed as an adjunct therapy (in addition to routine therapy). Over the years, it has been discussed over and again. It is commonly accepted that this therapy is of no widespread advantage (meaning in sporadic cases, there may be a reason for this surgery).
