birth controll pills and menstrationFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 19 Mar 1997 11:14:15 -0600 (CST)
I have been taking Ortho Nov. 777 for about six years now. I was prescribed it to help with my PMS symtoms. So, I consider it my medication for PMS, I have never used it specifically for birth controll. Within the past few months I have been experiencing my PMS but have not had any discharge during my week of menstration. I have been taking home pregnancy tests and gone to my doctor. All test have come out negative. My doctor tells me that it is quite normal for this to occur afer being on the pill for as long as I have. She also mentioned that I could take medication to induce menstraition. Honestly, if I don't have any sort of discharge it is fine with me. I would much rather go without as I am sure every other woman in the world would. But, I do not want to think that I may be pregnant each month. What do you tink I should do? Is there any reason for panic or am I fine just where I am? Thank you for you imput!
