MENORRHAGIA: Baby Weaning, Periods Returned...Now Gone.From: Maggie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 19 Jul 2009 19:05:49 -0500 (CDT)
My seventeen month old son is well into the process of weaning (nursing generally once per day), and my periods returned in February when I started to wean and also stopped taking Depo Provera (as my husband's vasectomy had been confirmed with a negative sperm count). They were very regular, every 27.5 days, without fail. Other than these past couple months, I've been on birth control or pregnant for almost a decade. The only times I've ever missed a period have been times when I was pregnant. This month, I'm three days late. Uh oh! I took a pregnancy test, just in case (even though I know this is very unlikely). It was negative. What else could be causing this? I also do not "feel pregnant" no breast tenderness or anything like that. Weird.
