Please, if anyone has any >suggestions or recommendations, I'd be grateful. Most common cause of vaginal itching in non pregnant state and in non diabetic patient can be trichomonas infection. The drug of choice is Metronidozol-Flagyl 200mg. 3 times a day for 7 days fot both the parternes.and a second coures after 15 days. If the other partenr has not taken treatment and had not refrain of sexual activity for 7 days coure ,recurrence is always there.Trichomonas infection is transmited from and hence treatment of male partener is must to have permant cure. I had one patient who had 2 wifes, i came to know when there was recurrence.When second wife was treated,there was no further recurrence.
