LARGEGARTNER'SCYST: Large, Protruding, Symptomatic Gartner's Duct Cyst :: Options?

I have a gartner's duct cyst that was the size of a large marble almost 3 years ago >> the size of a peach pit 6 months ago >> and now fills my vagina and is protruding slightly.I'm just 33 years old and have two children (almost 3 years old and 6 months old). The cyst was noticed at the birth of my first child.

Recently it has been symptomatic, (abdominal pain, pain with intercourse, and not able to wear a tampon). I went to a gynecologist (my children were born through a midwife) who hadn't seen it before and she quickly recommended surgery to remove it. She then mentioned that she could drain it to see if it came back again.

I chose to think about it before I moved forward. I tried looking for information, but didn't find much. What I did notice is that it seems to be a difficult surgery that has a high possibility of infection. I didn't see anything about draining the Gartner's Duct cyst.

Are there other options for me? What are the benefits and dangers of each procedure? Might it get smaller on it's own? Would there be a reasonable amount of time to wait for that to happen?

Thank you so much in advance for your answers/opinions. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know.
