Hi- I am 39 weeks pregnant, due on Monday. I've seen my OB three times in the last week and am 75% effaced but the cervix won't dilate. He wants to see me again on Friday and if nothing then we need to talk about what to do next. I concieved via IUI, so we know my date is correct. At this point I am very frustrated and don't understand why the cervix is doing nothing! Are there any medical issues that could cause this? I do have endometriosis and have had three laps. I read something about scar tissue on the cervix as a cause for it's inability to dilate. Is this true? Would my doctor be able to tell this? Thanks for your help. Just very frustrated and down.
