ENDOMETRIOSIS: Question about painFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 28 Mar 2009 22:29:39 -0500 (CDT)
I have had 10 laparoscopies to remove endometriosis & adhesions. The last one was last June. Now, I am experiencing pelvic pain again and have an appointment next month to see my ob/gyn again. I have a few new symptoms this time. First of all, it seems as the pain gets worse, I start having a fever. I remember this happening before my last surgery and then after surgery it was gone. I have not been able to find any information regarding fevers and endo. Has anyone heard of this before? Also, I have recently been experiencing dark stools around my period and severe bladder pain at the same time. I have been checked (UA & UC twice) for UTI and that is negative. Every time I think I should mention my dark stools to my physician, they stop. I have monitored my diet to see if there would be any connection, but nothing has really changed in my diet. The first month, I thought it was just coincidence, but it has happened for a few months now. I know endometriosis can be ON the bowel & bladder, but can it be IN the bowel & bladder also? How would one diagnose this? Or, is it just coincidence?
