I am wondering how much is enough? One Doctor has fixed 7 in the U.S. with 1 requiring a second fix. This doctor has fixed several of the urogenital kind during yearly missions to Africa. I like this about the doctor but I felt kind of funny about her and she didn't give me any information of the condition but neither did the other doctors. This doctor also practices in a large city. She has been practicing for 30 years and has a disciplinary action from around 20 years ago but her license was suspended in that state. This suspension was for gross negligence among other things and involved appox. 15 cases of hers when she applied to become board certified. She has paid 1 malpractice claim back in 1985.

My other doctor is very nice and his heart is in the right place but he has only fixed 2 fistulas and had to seek further advice from other docs. He practices out of the same hospital as the gyno who performed my hysterectomy. This is a small town hospital. He doesn't want to do the repair until he wants to and has not done any checking for tissue viability since the catheter placement on Feb.10th. I just went into his office a few days ago and he changed my catheters and sent me on my way with no follow up appointment. He also seems to have a problem with me getting my second opinion from a urogynocologist. He wanted to refer me to a doctor he knows in the same city as the urogynocologist. He works as a urologist at a University Hospital and has fixed these. He has only been practicing since 2002 which is okay, i guess but how many could he have repaired.

Sorry to ramble on but I would like an un-biased opinion as to what a medical professional thinks I should do. I am not getting much empathy from either doctor and I may sound like a baby but I need some. I don't trust my judgement right now.
