Ive noticed that around the 12th of the month I get severely derpressed. My period is from the 1st of the month for a few days (not heavy, light to normal) . I have depression in general, and am on 225mg Venlafaxine per day, but during this week (comes on suddenly then slowly recedes over a week or more) i am still depressed enough to want to kill myself. With Venlafaxine, Im not too depressed the rest of the time. Would this be related to my periods in any way, or will it just be a coincidence, perhaps something else that happens outside around the 12th of every month? Im 24, so not in a menopause or anything. And its cant be PMT since its after my period. And if it is connected, what scientifically would cause it and what can i do apart from the obvious (excercise etc)?
