We define menopause when no period for more than 6 months usually between 45-52 years during this age periods come usually on irregular manner and may cause lot of bleeding which can affect the hemoglobin so premenopause can indirectly affect the hemoglobin by the type of bleeding but menopause is associated with no periods and consequently hemoglobin is expected to rise due to absence of bleeding. We should know what we call it climacteric...period of starting cessation of ovarian function usually start at the age 35 years.
