ABLATION: Post Ablation care

Hi, I had a laser ablation for VAIN II and mild cervical dysplasia on Tuesday, March 10th. I have been pain-free since Wednesday and have only had very light, intermittent spotting since Wed. afternoon. My doctor suggested waiting 2-3 weeks before resuming running (I am training for a half-marathon). Is there any reason to wait beyond a week if I have no pain, no spotting; and is it safe to do low-impact forms of exercise (calesthenics)?

Thank you, Melissa
