If the doctor is able to negociate canula in the uterine cavity above the internal of there should not be problem in pushing the contrast dye into the cavity and taking x-ray picture. Indealy a pain killer injection along with atropin like injection is given 30 minutes before the procedure is carried out. Thay relieves and uterine spasms and prevent vaso vagal attack. Idealy procedure should be done in x-ray department with image intesifier facility with strict aseptic preacation.Rubins canula or colvins canula is good enough for this procedure. Some people try pediatric foleys catheter but i am not happy with that. Metal canula is better. Try once more to undergo the procedure of HSG.It is worth wile to know wheather your tubes are patent or not to enabe you to conceive.
