CHRONICPAIN: Advice PleaseFrom: Kelly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 11 Mar 2009 20:10:31 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I am a 22 year old female who is has been in a long term monogamous relationship for over a year now. I had a STD test before this relationship began and all was negative. Also, My partner recently had an STD screening (due to my urging) and all was negative as well. However, I often have lower pelvic pain that is mostly a dull ache and occasional white discharge. I read that lower pelvic pain is a symptom of some bacterial STD's and I am concerned that perhaps I have something that slipped through. We have sex with out condoms 3x's a week so If we've both tested negative its extremely improbable right? Also, I have been on birth control for a year that does not seem to be regulating my cycle properly. I have periods in the middle of my cycle so perhaps the pelvic aching could be do that. My OBGYN keeps telling me that its probably due to my cycle but i dont know? Help!
