PREGNANCY: bicornuate uterus and pregnancy

I am 5wks3d today. At 4wks4d had a small amount of brown after going to the bathroom and some cramping. I also had a small amount of brown after going to the bathroom on 4wks6d and ever since a light beige discharge. I had an ultrasound done yesterday at 5wks2d to rule out etopic and the pregnancy seems to be progressing normally, but the doctor mentioned that I have a bicornuate uterus. He acted as though it were no big deal. I came home and started looking up things and from everything I read is seems to be a high risk situation. I don't have another appt until I am 10wks and am wondering if I should be seen sooner than this and if it really isn't as big of deal as the internet makes it seem. Also Is there anyway he could have been wrong? I posted here a few months ago for spotting between periods. For the last 3cycles I have spotted for up to ten days starting on day 12 of my cycle and continuing into my luteal phase could this have anything to do with my spotting in pregnancy? I also had my beta's drawn last week and they doubled faster than 48hrs. They were: 1,175dpo 2969dpo any answers would be greatly appreciated.
