With FSH 31, this means you are getting into menopause and that is physiologial and normal at that age. There is no point to take medications to get an artificial period. There are different openions regarding giving hormones or not, you need to be counselled with your gynecologist to consider your symptoms, family history and physical examination. Regarding the age 51, personally I dont recommend hormonal replacement unless it is necessary and for a short period because of its impact on the breast. However, physical excercise and calcium intake might be all that is needed.
