GYNECOLOGIC: Prolapse help - doctor is not helping!From: louise (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 16 Feb 2009 11:31:17 -0600 (CST)
Hi, coming from the uk where you do not have access to a gynecologist unless you are refered for something seriuos, i have twice been to the doctor because i believe i have some sort of prolapse, i have 4 children and after no 4 felt things were not quite right, since having a really bad cough, i now feel a bulge at the entrance to my vagina, and other folds/bulges higher up. it is not my cervix, this is up higher, am concerned it could be my uretha, i am aware of it constantly. the first doctor i saw exmained me but said everthing was fine, the 2nd didn't even examine me but has sent me for physiotherapy. i have not seen a gynecologist. Is this an appropriate course of action and should i see a gynecologist or are they right to be unconcerned? any advice would be appreciated! also how likey is this to improve with kegels?
