ONCOLOGY: juvenile granulosa ovarian metastasis-post hysterectomy - young woman- please help!!!!From: Shepra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 6 Feb 2009 19:16:12 -0600 (CST)
I am 35 years old & married with no kids.I was diagonised with juvenile grnulosa cell tumour of ovary and total hysterectomy was performed 4 years back. A metastasis was diagonised after 1 year and surgical process with 4 cycles of BEP chemo was administered. After this process now after 2 years later from chemo, PET scanning has revealed enlargement in the iliac lymph node(1.6cm). is there anything that I need to worry about. what is the best possible solution for it. needle biopsy wiht Ultrasound scanning could not be done. what is the survival rate in my kind of situation. Since I have undergone hysterectomy I have no urge for having sex and I fear that my partner might get the cancer cells transfered. I am very much worried and getting depressed thinking of it. Please answer my questions and help me relieve the tension I am undergoing thanks
