Hello, I am going in to get my wisdom teeth taken out in late January. I will be going under general anesthesia, and I was told that I am not supposed to eat anything after midnight the night before, and that failure to comply with this, ie having extra chemicals, etc in my bloodstream, could provide serious complications. I usually take my tricyclen lo in the morning when I get up. Should I be switching to before bed for this month? Also, will the anesthetics in any way alter the effectiveness of my birth control?
