Hi Vera,

I am 25 years old, lean (118 lb), no insulin resistance, no excessive hair, no severe acne (maybe a pimple from time to time). However, I always had issues with my periods. When I was 15, my doctor said that I am not menstruating because I'm too thin, so I have to gain weight and periods will start. I didn't want to gain weight and ultrasound was always showing polycystic ovaries, so I was quite sure that it wasn't my weight causing amenorrhea. I recently switched doctors from ob/gyn to reproductive endocrynologist, and so glad I did - she ordered blood work (previous doc also did, but it was more disorganized) and it showed up with high free testosterone and TSH levels, also my LH/FSH ratio was off; the new doctor diagnosed me with PCOS.

So, by my appearance one couldn't tell that I have any metabolic/hormonal misbalance. So, I think you should wait until the bloodwork comes back before jumping to conclusions.
