CHRONICPAIN: Can you have a pinched nerve in the area of an ovary? From: Confused (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Dec 2008 18:22:14 -0600 (CST)
I'm almost 3 weeks post laparoscopy, and the left ovary was detached from the colon. Around 4 days postop, I began experiencing this pinching pain down in the lower left pelvis, which I thought might be just the ovary being tender from being detached and then moved back to its normal position. I did tell my doctor about it at my 1-week postop, and he said he thought it was normal at that stage. Well, now 2 weeks later, it's even worse then before. It's almost like it is healing incorrectly and something is being pinched in the process. It is exacerbated by activity or even sitting too long. In the morning when I wake up it is just the pinching pain, but by afternoon it begins to feel like an overinflated balloon is in there, with pressure, extreme tenderness, and pain down into the thigh and hip. What could be causing this? Could there be some sort of nerve trapped in there?
