STD: Help! Scars!

Over 5 years ago, at age 17, after only one sexual partner, I went to my OBGYN and she said I had 3 genital warts near my bottom. They were small bumps, flesh colored that I asked her about. She did not give me any information, only said that meant I had HPV and she would remove them right then. I said OK, and she pulled a bottle of some type of acid or freezing liquid and used a q-tip to "burn" them. Some of the liquid must have dripped off of the q-tip, I have large raised scars on the three areas and a few little indents around one, wear the liquid hit the healthy skin. I followed her advice and while healing, applied a $50 cream she gave me a prescription for. I went back for regular tests, and had 2 abnormal paps, and a biopsy which was "low-risk". My paps have since been normal for the past 3 (approx) times and years. I have not had any more of these warts. My problem is, I have Large, Raised, Ugly Scars on my bottom. I am terrified of having any sexual contact and am embarrassed by the scars. I am getting older and have moved so I have not gone back to the OBGYN in a year. Each time I went for the pap I asked her if there was something I could do and she said no, and once she even asked "did I remove these?" I went to my dermatologist for a regular skin exam and told him about this experience. He said he dosn't even know if they were originally warts, since he hasn't seen anything like this, and says he did not want to touch them. I not know what to do- Should I go to a plastic surgeon to remove these scars? And then, would it be thousands of dollars? Help!!!!
