GENERAL: large Anterior vaginal wall inclusion cyst- scared!!From: mvd (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 23 Nov 2008 01:57:42 -0600 (CST)
I have a large vaginal inclusion cyst (anterior wall). Apparently it is located in "not so normal" an area, meaning closer to the vaginal opening than my Dr. has normally seen before. The Cyst does protude outside of the vagina mostof the time. He wants to surgically remove it, under MAC anesthesia.. but I am terrified of anesthesia. Is it possible to simply have it drained? I am NOT concerned about pain or even surgery itself.. just phobic about being put under. Also, the cyst is situated beneath my bladder, and the Dr. mentioned it was possible (although he didnt think it was the case) that the cyst may have grown "stalks" into the bladder, which he could figure out once he got in there. Im a bit concerned about that too, shouldnt a ultrasound or some other sort of test be done PRIOR to the surgery to see if it has indeed grown into my bladder?
