YOUNGWOMEN: Chlamydia IgGFrom: kk (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 16 Nov 2008 07:08:28 -0600 (CST)
I got my blood tested on Chlamydia IgG and IgM, my IgG was positive which would mean I had an infection in the past. Two weeks later my blood was tested again and both parameters were negative. Explanation from the laboratory was that the first measurement was just above the cutoff point and the second was just below. Their conclusion was that the infection had taken place a longer time ago.... Is this correct? I thought that your IgG would always remain positive when an infection had been there in the past. And what does this mean for my (in)fertilty, I know they use CAT-measurements as an indication of tubal pathology, what does it say when I was CAT positive just above cutoff point and 2 weeks later CAT negative?
