Dr. Futterweit,
At times absence of menses occurs in PCOS even when on metformin.
The lining of the uterus can be checked by sonography, and yes, stress
may be a factor. Please check with your gyn. See what the levels of
LH,FSH, estradiol and prolactin are as well.
