CONTRACEPTION: Changing BC as a newlywed and other concerns

Hi, there.

This is my first post. I'm too shy to ask my doctor and/or friends, so here goes.

I am a newlywed and I've been with my husband for 4 years (total: dating and now marriage). We've been sexually active for a little over 2.5 years or so.

Anyway, we currently use condoms and I'm on the pill as well. He wants to go "off" condoms and we are NOT ready to have kids yet. He says it will feel better for him (I know he's right about that). I know that the pill is 99% effective, but I'm worried about a few things if we go "condomless".

1) I *really* don't want a baby but I don't really believe in abortion (for me, that is... I have no problem with the fact that it's legal for others). Is is really THAT RARE to get pregnant while on the pill? The rest of my family is totally fertile (easily pregnant, if you know what I mean).

2) I'm concerned with the "clean up" issue of his "stuff"... I've never dealt with that and I'm a bit OCD about stuff like cleanliness. Do women have to "clean up" the way a guy does if he's wearing a condom? I really do have no clue.

Thanks in advance if you can help. I know these are strange questions, but I did a search and found this forum so I thought it might be ok to ask.
