Re: ONCOLOGY: Cervical cancerFrom: CLS (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 25 Oct 2008 20:36:52 -0500 (CDT)
I have some questions for you. How far apart were the LEEP's? Did you have a LEEP or a LEEP cone biopsy? Were you told whether or not the margins were clear, afterward? How soon after the LEEP's did the PAP smear come with dysplasia? Were you told if it was in the endocervical canal and if there was any glandular involvement? And most of all, have you been looking at the lab reports all along? This would definitely be a good starting point for you, in addressing your health. My case was different than yours, but I wish I had looked at the lab report before agreeing to a surgery. It clears up the mystery so that you know exactly what is happening and gets you actively involved in what is best for your health. If you are having doubts about your doctor, though, then follow your gut instincts and get a referral to the GYN/ONC.
