FIBROIDS: Hydrosalpinx

After 17 months of trying to conceive we decided to go to a reproductive specialist. I am 31 yrs old about 75 lbs over weight ( no other health problems)and my husband is 27 and healthy.

After labs, ultrasounds and an HSG, the doc diagnosed me with Hydrosalpinx and said the only option is IVF. I am ovulating, and there are no other problems. I am torn between this. I really want to get my tubes cleared per surgery and try that way before jumping right into IVF. I feel I am young enough and in good enough health that this could be possible. I know the success rate of a tubal pregnancy is high, but I'm willing to take that chance to conceive naturally. I am now on a strict diet to lose at LEAST 50 lbs before I decide what I do.

What are your suggestions with this?

Thanks

Kelli
