Dr. von Almen, Thank you for your response. Actually my doctor has recommended a pelvic ultrasound first as you mention, and then plans on doing a D&C even if polyps are not found because he says I need "cleaning out," and is planning on doing a biopsy of the uterus. Mind you, this is even though I have no indications of anything wrong, other than two benign polyps. So, if I do end up having endometrial polyps, do I HAVE to have a D&C, even if I am not having trouble? Won't they diminish as I go into menopause? And if I do not have endometrial polyps, should I stick to my grounds and pass on the D&C? I REALLY do not want to go through that.
