PREGNANCY: late period, negative pregnancy tests, possible pregnancy?

I started Micronor, a progestin only form of birth control, in July. Usually, there are 27 days in my menstrual cycle. I decided to go off my bc on Sept. 12th because i was bleeding almost everyday. I was suppose to get my period on Sept. 25th. I took several pregnancy test after the 9/25, but all of them were negative. Before the 9/25, my last period was on 8/30. During Sept., I started to feel symptoms of pregnancy, my breast are larger and very tender, I feel nauseous, and I'm tired. I just got my period this past week (I think), 16 days late, on 10/10. I noticed that the first few days of my period was more painful than usual, and the blood was bright, bright red. Usually, the color is a deeper red. The bleeding lasted the normal amount of days my period usually last. But, my breasts are still very tender, I'm still tired, and I still feel nauseous. I have not taken another pregnancy test since 10/3. My PCP said that she doesn't want to do a pregnancy test on me until at least two weeks have passed since the last time I had sex. Is it possible that I'm pregnant? Was it my period, or was it spotting from pregnancy? Was my period late because of the bc i was taking?
