It's really impossible to be sure of what's going on without an examination which might include blood tests or an ultrasound but without significant pain (especially if it is constant, severe, worsening or disabling) or bleeding (noticeably heavier than a normal period), you should be OK to wait for your appointment. If things change for the worse before the appointment, you should notify your physician.
