BREASTHEALTH: Left Breast Pain Behind Nipple AreaFrom: mypatrice (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 12 Oct 2008 19:41:46 -0500 (CDT)
I'll be 42 years old soon and had a healthy mammogram 04/2008. I have three children and breastfed them all; just recently stopping with my almost two year old close to two months ago. Within the past few days, I've noticed that my left breast is very tender to the touch and warm - compared to the right breast. It feels like a blocked duct - I remember that feeling in the beginning when I was breastfeeding my first child. Is it possible to get an infection after weaning - it just seems like if it were going to get infected, it would have done so soon after my milk dried up? There is no breast cancer history for my family. Thanks for your help.
