A colonoscopy isn't necessarily a bad idea, although I would assume most cases of pain from a GI source would cause cramps, bloating, or diarrhea. I haven't been following this whole thread, but perhaps your doctor could either test you for musculoskeletal pain or refer you to a physical medicine specialist. Many ob/gyn doctors are not experienced with musculoskeletal sources of pain, for example trigger points. These can cause intermittent but quite painful lower quadrant symptoms. Best wishes,
