FIBROIDS: Fybroids. What to do ???

I am down for a hysterectomy in January and really dont want one unless I genuinly can't have more children.

I am 38 but have had 10 miscarriages to include a ruptured ectopic so far, and have had fibroids for years. Recently I have had so much trouble and they are now so big they have to go.

I feel I am being pushed into a Hysterectomy not only by the professionals but my family as well. I have just went onto Goserelin from provera as Pain & bleeding are so severe. I did have dye pushed through my remaining falopian tube years back which I was told should unblock it. My consultant (who I do have faith in) said that he felt a hysterectomy was really the way to go but I haven't had the opportunity to discuss this properly with him and it turns out I wont see him again until the op. My GP has seen the state I have been in and I cant seem to get past him to get to my consultant.......and he is the good doctor in the practice - the rest are COMPLETELY usless in my experience

My quandry is: given my history should I have the hysterectomy or should I have just have the fibriods removed, see what happens and risk having to go through it all again in the near future with a hysterectomy anyway.

If there is any chance of me holding onto a pregnancy then it would be worth it but if not then I would be OK with the Hysterectomy. I am Very Very confused right now and dont know what to do. I would appreciate any input from anyone. Sorry to waffle and I hope this makes sense.... I Know what I mean
