SMELLYDISCHARGE: Smelly DischargeFrom: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 8 Oct 2008 22:51:07 -0500 (CDT)
I had never heard anything but "positive feedback" about the condition/especially smell of my vagina and its discharge. I have only noticed it having a very slight odor a few times in my life and am a very hygenic individual. About 4 months ago, however, I started dating and having unprotected sex with someone who may or may not have given me Chlamydia. I went in to the clinic to have tests and get antibiotics, but I couldn't do all the tests, seeing as I was on my period and they never got ahold of me to let me know the UA results and when I tried to reach the hotline it was closed? They gave me a prescription for Chlamydia/Gonorrea antibiotics anyway and sent me on my way the day I went in...the meds made me sick to my stomach and there were at least a week or so there, so I ended up giving up on them @ the very end, but eventually getting on "a list" of exposed people in my area, which resulted in receiving very quick and completely free treatment in the form of two simple pills. I kept hoping that the associated symptoms of my likely bout with chlamydia would subside 'since the two pills--(which I took around the beginning of September), but my unusually thick and strong odored discharge is not going away. My now ex (the guy who gave me the STD to begin with) has even noticed and mentioned it is way different smelling than when we first started having sex. I've had a few partners in the last month, all of whom I didn't use condoms with, but I had waited over a week after my last treatment before becoming sexually active again and the smell never lessened? Does anyone have any ideas? Does anyone know if HPV (Human Papillonia Virus) has a tendency to make girls smell? I don't believe I have been tested for this, but hear it's very common and can cause infertility if left unattended to? I am very disappointed in myself for EVER BECOMING LAX ON CONDOMS and am anxious to see if anyone has any advice or feedback. I would just douche, but I here it really increases your chance of ovarian cancer..etc..
