MENORRHAGIA: Very long cycles all the sudden???From: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 1 Oct 2008 16:06:16 -0500 (CDT)
Hi there, I was wondering what could cause the length of my cycle to increase dramatically and if its cause for concern and if I should visit my obgyn. Two cycles ago, my cycle was 30 days long (for as long as I can remember), starting from the first day of my period and ending the first day of my next period, then all the sudden it jumped to 45 days last month, then finally started my period. I took a pregnancy test right before I started and then had a heavy period. Now this cycle, I am on day 52 of this cycle (my last period started Aug 10th) and still haven't started my period. I feel a little constipated if that helps at all. : ) I don't think I'm pregnant...but not 100% sure. I don't know if it's something wrong with my hormones, if I haven't ovulated or not, or if it's normal, or what. I might have a slight sinus infection and don't know if that's why. I'm not really stressed and usually very regular. I gave birth to a now two year old and a healthy weight. I am concerned, but not sure how concerned I should be. I would have called my doctor by now, but my insurance charges me to call with a question. Thank you so much for all your help!!!
-- thanks!
