Hi, I'm sorry you are experiencing such discomfort. I also my left ovary and tube removed 2 months ago due to adhesions caused by a surgery last November for a chocolate cyst. I have also experienced quite a bit of discharge since then, and it is sometimes brown, which I think indicates spotting. As for the pain, I know that I have had the same kind of sort of swollen, painful feeling, as well as some very acute pains that have come and gone. Sitting down often hurt before and after the surgery. The pressure of my weight coming down on the bottom side of my pelvis was always an uncomfortable sensation and sometimes still is.

But now I'm beginning to feel more myself and the pains one would expect after an invasive surgery have pretty much died down. The discharge continues, and I plan to talk to my doc in a few weeks if it feels problematic.

Are you doing anything to help your body recover, as in therapies or exercise? I've become quite serious about my own responsibility regarding my recovery from my surgery and my role in caring for my body to keep from ending up in surgery again any time soon (2 in the space of 8 months is quite enough, thanks!) I have begun taking light cardio and strength exercises, walking, swimming and Yoga. Anything that can help your body move and absorb the fluids that probably remain in your abdomen since your surgery would be a good idea, because you have to help it restore itself by getting your blood flowing through there. If you can stimulate your circulation, you feed your muscles and help your lymph system get rid of the junk. I am also getting TCM treatments which help blood flow and endocrine response. If nothing else, I feel fabulous after every treatment.

Drink plenty of water to help flush away your body's own immuno response to surgery. Diet, too can be key. Are your bowels moving properly? I know that's a bit personal, but there's a lot in the area that they've altered surgically that can be affected in ways you'd never suspect. Part of my discomfort in my swollen pelvis before was due to restriction in my bowels, and hence constipation.

I would encourage you strongly, if you're not already doing it, to take active control of your recovery. And if you are still in pain, do to talk to your doctor. If nothing else, they can help put your mind at ease. I wish you the very best and I hope you know you're not alone.
