Thank you, Dr. Lyons. Also, thank you to both Jo Ann and Dr. Bill!!!!
All of you are absolutely awesome!
I saw the GYN ONC today (Dr. Lyons, I saw Ben Benigno at Northside). I
don't feel any better now then I did yesterday. He told me absolutely
nothing! I have the report in front of me, and what Dr. Benigno said,
is nothing like the report or the GYN said. It reads as follows:
"HPV, High-Risk Positive Abnormal"
"HPV, low-risk Negative"
"These HPV tests detect thirteen high-risk types
(16/18/31/33/35/39/45/51/52/56/58/59/68) and five low-risk
(6/11/42/43/44) without differentiation."
This to me doesn't look like anything to NOT worry about! Does this mean
I have all of the high risk types??
My GYN has been my MD for 10 years. I've known Dr. Benigno for less
than a day!!! Dr. Benigno just said, "You are fine!" I asked him about
the above report and his response was, "Oh, don't worry about it. You
are fine." Does this look fine to you?? Please, do not misunderstand, I
am not looking for something, but I am definitely confused. I tried to
ask him questions and he didn't have time to answer anything for me. He
just said, "Follow up with your GYN in six months. Its been a real
pleasure meeting with you today."
