I just want to tell you that I am so sorry for your loss. While I did miscarry my first pregnancy I was only 6-7weeks along and it was very early. with time you will heal mentally and things will get better. I truely believe hormones also greatly affect your sadness and once those level out wyou will feel better as well. Like you I too have fibroids. My first pregnancy and the fibroids were not issue it was just a what my docs called normal miscarriage which happens to many woman 12-16weeks and less and there is no real reason for them other than genetics or biological makeup of the baby was not sound. My second pregnancy was 6 months after my miscariage. Everythings tarted out as normal. I was of course anxious due to the miscarriage and the fact that I have PCOS and fibroids. Both I was told not to fret about right away. At around 9weeks I started having pain. I pain I wish I remember entirely but it was so hard to explain it was pressure cramping weird. I went straigh to the doctors and everything was fine except the fibroids were growing. At first they didn't entirely brush off the fibroids just that this isn't normal and it will probably stop. Well it didn't at my 12 wk appt I nearly jumped off the table when examined and that is when they took my pain for real. I am and have found out through labor and delivery that I have a high pain tolerance and that guess what these pains were real not in my head even though at times I felt like that when constantly complaining. The fibroids continued to grow through out my pregnancy. I was continually monitored and pretty much had an ultrasound every 2 weeks-1 month during the first two trimesters and every week for the last one until about a month before delivery. My fibroids grew and multiplied. Non were considered a threat to the baby because they were not in the cavity. In the cavity is where there is usually a problem and the baby was growing normally. I could see the fibroids clear as day in the ultrasound and was an almost expert of knowing what I was looking at. I carried full term+ 1 day even though they insisted i would go early because of the fibroids. I can tell you I was told early off c-section was not an volunteered option because it puts the mom at risk for hemorrage with firboids. Even when delivering I bled a lot and was on medication just incase. I can tell you only from experience about my story. I am not an expert. I recently had mine checked again to sensure they stopped growing which they have. I had a test (name?) but they put a catherter into your cervix and fillyour cavity with water to get a view of your fibroids with an ultrasound to ensure nothing was in the cavity which I was clean. Talk to your doctor or several and get opinions of your conern. Definetly get a second opinion if you feel you need one. Talk to a high risk doctor or doctors who have dealt with fibroids. Anything to ease your mind. I am not an expert just talking from experience. My daughter is now 2 and you can have a viable pregnancy with fibroids. I am not getting mine removed or having a because or the risks. Personal choice made with my doctors reccomendation
