CHRONICPAIN: Can intense vaginal pain be a symptom of an ovarian cyst? From: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 23 Sep 2008 19:17:02 -0500 (CDT)
I've had constant pelvic pain for 2 months now. It's gotten more severe in the last month to the point where every 2 weeks I'm in unbearable pain. I've had hot flashes and night sweats for the last 6 weeks. Because of these symptoms, I'm thinking there might be ovarian cysts. It started two months ago with mild pain on both sides of the pelvis, but no pain down the middle (had a hysterectomy). It has gradually progressed to now pain in the middle of the pelvis too, much like menstrual cramps except there's no uterus any more. The last week, however, there has also been vaginal pain, sort of like a pressure or heaviness. I had adhesions removed from the top of the vagina a few months ago, could it be that again. Or, can vaginal pain be caused by an ovarian cyst.
