Previous message: anonymous@obgyn.net: "PCOS: Long luteal phase" I just had a Mirena IUD placed today and I was told that it would cause some discomfort when placed which it did, but I was not told that I would have swelling. I would like to know if swelling of the inside of the vagina to where you can see it on the outside and swelling in the lower abdomen is normal? I mean I can feel my ovaries tubes everything pretty much on the outside of my body thats how swollen things are. Is this normal should I be concerned that anything may burst?
