MISCARRIAGE: Miscarriage complicationsFrom: Mommy to 2 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 22 Aug 2008 13:55:03 -0500 (CDT)
At 6 weeks pregnant, I had no heart beat on u/s. We decided to wait for a"natural" miscarriage vs. a d/c. At what would have been 9 weeks pregnant, I began to naturally miscarry but had excessive bleeding that required an emergency d/c and 4 units of blood to replace what I lost. I cannot find any information on the web that indicates what the cause of excessive bleeding during natural miscarriage is or any mention of this anywhere as a normal complication of natural miscarriage. I have had 2 prior c-sections (successful) and a prior d/c for miscarriage (successful). Thanks for any advice.
