GENERAL: Raw spotsFrom: Tiffany (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 21 Aug 2008 21:32:20 -0500 (CDT)
This past Sunday I noticed a slight discharge and constant vaginal itching. I thought I might have a yeast infection other than the fact that I did not have a "cottage cheese" discharge which is synonymous with yeast infections. It has been almost 5 days since I noticed it. The itching is no longer there. I started my 4th pill cycle on Sunday and started my period on Tuesday. I had to refrain from using tampons because they caused too much discomfort. I have been using pads the last two days and the itching is now completely gone. The problem is that on the areas where your butt cheeks come together, on either side of the anus and continuing up towards my vagina, I have red, almost raw patches. They're not extremely painful, but they're red, almost inflammed looking. I do not see any sort of bumps and I have been with my fiance for 3 1/2 years and we are monogamous. I have no idea what it might be. I've scoured the internet trying to find out something before I went to the gyno in case it was just a minor skin irritation. Anyone have any ideas?
