Re: UROGYNECOLOGY: 26 yo with incontinenceFrom: Amy Rosenman,M.D. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 17 Aug 2008 14:04:16 -0500 (CDT)

The simple placement of a pessary (a diaphram-like internal frame) will immediately keep the bulging tissue in place. To correct the stress incontinence surgery is your best bet. A uterine suspension to the uterosacral ligaments, a cystocele repair (bladder lift) and rectocele repair along with a tension free vaginal tape will solve these problems if you wish to retain your uterus for further pregnancies. A cesarean delivery in the future would be recommended. See a specialist, a urogynecologist would be ideal.
